From developer to product owner

Hi, I'm Pavi!

When I started as a front-end developer at HDI three years ago, I quickly realized that I was not only interested in developing applications, but also in how our users interact with our applications. I wanted to better understand the interplay between design and development and expressed my interest in UX - not only for myself, but also to collaborate more effectively with my colleagues.

Fortunately, my boss was fully behind me. He had no problem at all with my new goals, but supported me in taking this new path. I took an exam to deepen my knowledge and even got the chance to attend a conference in Portugal. There, I was able to get to grips with the latest UX trends and gain valuable insights.

A real highlight for me was the opportunity to moderate usability tests. This allowed me to experience first-hand how users interact with our product and which improvements really make a difference.

What I particularly appreciate about my team: I can simply try things out and continuously expand my skillset. We have the freedom to develop our applications ourselves and to put new approaches directly into practice - so we always have our finger on the pulse. This applies not only to my team, but to the entire IT world at HDI: we work cross-functionally in an agile environment with plenty of scope for ideas and innovative events, such as our Codex developer conference.
